- Total area: 67 hectares of which 52 hectares producing.
- Grape varieties: 57% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec.
- Average age of the vines: 35 years.
- Soil: argilo-calcareous and clay and limestone.
- Density: 4.500 plants/hectare.
- Harvesting: mechanical.
- Ageing: 6 to 10 months in oak barrels, of which ¼ are new.

The 52 hectares lie on argilo-calcareous and clay-with-limestone land where for the most part Merlot has been planted. This grape variety is the favoured one of the neighbouring Saint Emilion. Other varieties, such as Cabernet and Malbec, also grow there, though in smaller proportions.

Fermentation takes about 12 days, with maceration at 28°C for 10 to 12 days according to the vintage.

The wine is aged in oak barrels.

The Château de Belcier produces both a second wine, the Château de Monrecueil or the B de Belcier; and a very special reserve, the Pin de Belcier.

Belcier wines win many medals and are often mentioned is the best wine guidebooks.
